Our Roots
Jackson Jade Therapy was founded by Speech Pathologist, Renée Firby. Renée began her career as a school-based speech-language pathologist where she provided speech, language, and swallowing services to preschool through high-school aged children with varying disabilities from severe medical and cognitive challenges, to advanced students with mild impairments. Her passion for medically-based speech pathology led to her to work in hospitals, rehabilitative clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health services. She supported infants through geriatric populations ranging from mild to the rarest and most severe impairments. Her expertise in Autism, feeding and swallowing disorders, and overall dedication to the profession naturally led her found Jackson Jade Therapy.
The original quality of service offered to patients at Jackson Jade was was unlike those they had previously experienced. Education and everyday techniques easily implemented into daily life was provided. Families were listened to and included in the entire process from the evaluation to ongoing treatment. As a result, individuals quickly made progress, family struggles were heard, addressed and supported, and the overall outcome was happy people.
Jackson Jade quickly grew to include ABA and Occupational Therapy and we began to broaden our service locations. To date, we have provided thousands of families with support and our patients continue to experience the same great service in which we were founded.
